NORTHWEST ANTHROPOLOGICAL CONFERENCE PROCEEDINGS 2024

The Journal of Northwest Anthropology (JONA) has teamed with the Northwest Anthropological Association to produce the Proceedings for the 2024 Northwest Anthropological Conference (NWAC). The 2024 NWAC Proceedings will include papers and posters presented at the 2024 conference, runner up student award winners, schedule, and abstracts. E-copies of the Proceedings will be available for no cost on the JONA website in the fall of 2024.

Manuscripts for both oral presentations and poster presentations will be due 31 May 2024 at 11:59 PM to allow authors time to address any comments received from colleagues during their presentations. Manuscripts are not peer-reviewed, but will receive a basic editorial review prior to publication. To view the submission guidelines, click here.

Northwest Anthropological Conference Proceedings 2023

The Journal of Northwest Anthropology (JONA) is pleased to present the 2023 Northwest Anthropological Conference (NWAC) Proceedings. This is the third year that JONA has teamed with the Northwest Anthropological Association to publish the conference papers and posters. The papers and posters included in JONA Special Publication #8 were presented at the 76th annual NWAC in Spokane, Washington. We thank the presenters from the 76th NWAC who made the effort to prepare their presentations for inclusion in the proceedings. We firmly believe that the NWAC Proceedings has the potential to play a major role in disseminating the contributions of anthropological research to peoples of the Northwest.
